Job Overview

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and responsible Lunchroom Supervisor to support students during lunch periods at Frank Ryan Catholic Intermediate School. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that reflects the school's commitment to student well-being, respect, and a positive school community.

The Lunchroom Supervisor will supervise students during mealtimes, encourage appropriate behavior, and assist with daily lunchroom routines while working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Supervise students during lunch periods to promote safety, respectful behavior, and positive interactions.
- Assist students with lunch containers and meals when necessary.
- Encourage students to follow school rules and demonstrate respect, responsibility, and consideration for others.
- Monitor the lunchroom to identify and address potential safety concerns or conflicts.
- Support students with disabilities or special needs in an inclusive and respectful manner.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lunchroom workplace before, during, and after lunch.
- Communicate behavioral or safety concerns to teachers and school administration.
- Assist with setting up and putting away lunchroom supplies and equipment.




- Contribute to a positive school atmosphere that supports students' social and emotional well-being.

Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a school, childcare, or caregiving setting is an asset.
- Strong supervision, communication, and behavior-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of different backgrounds and abilities, including students with special needs.
- Patience, reliability, and a caring, approachable attitude.
- Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to challenging situations.
- Ability to follow school policies, safety procedures, and staff instructions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and school administration.
- Previous experience in education, childcare, or student supervision is an asset.

Expected hours: No less than 45.0 per week
