ElkLake Partners is a growing boutique M&A; advisory firm serving middle-market private companies across Western Canada. We advise business owners, shareholders, and management teams on acquisitions, divestitures, capital formation, and strategic growth.

We are seeking an experienced M&A; Associate to join our deal team and support M&A; transactions, and capital advisory engagements.

Working directly with ElkLake’s senior advisors and client management teams, you will take on meaningful responsibility across transaction execution, financial modeling, valuation, and client deliverables.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Support the execution of M&A; transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt/equity financings and financial analysis mandates.
- Assist in the preparation of client deliverables, including pitch materials, confidential information memorandum, management presentations, and other Corporate Finance materials.
- Build and maintain financial models and valuation reports.
- Analyze historical and projected financial performance to assess key value drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Aggregate complex information into explicit, concise insights for both internal and client-facing purposes.
- Compile industry research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets, assess market trends, and provide insights into competitive dynamics.
- Actively participate in client meetings and supporting senior team members with managing the transaction processes.

Skills required for this role:

- Post-secondary degree in business, finance,



accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, investment banking, commercial / corporate banking, consulting, valuation, private equity, corporate development, or other similar transaction advisory role.
- Prior transaction experience.
- Completed or currently pursuing a professional designation or graduate degree, such as a CPA, CBV, CFA, or MBA.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
