Title: Mainframe Application Support Developer

We are looking for a Mainframe Production Support Developer in Toronto, ON.

Required Skills (Maximum 6):

1. COBOL – Solid experience in mainframe application development and support.

2. DB2 – Experience with database queries, data analysis, and troubleshooting.

3. JCL – Ability to manage and troubleshoot mainframe batch jobs.

4. VSAM – Experience supporting and maintaining VSAM files.

5. IDMS – Experience with IDMS database environments.

6. Production Support & Communication – Strong communication, ServiceNow knowledge, RFC handling, project coordination, and readiness to provide on-call support.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Maximum 3):

- Experience with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.

- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise mainframe applications.

- Experience coordinating production releases,



deployments, and cross-functional technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide production support for mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and IDMS.

- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and application defects.

- Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests (RFCs) using ServiceNow.

- Support application enhancements, maintenance activities, and project-related deliverables.

- Monitor batch jobs, investigate failures, and coordinate issue resolution.

- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, database teams, and business stakeholders.

- Communicate incident status, root causes, and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.

- Participate in deployments, production changes, and release activities.

- Provide on-call support as required.
