Through smarter processes, meaningful financial insights and exceptional client service, we help businesses operate more efficiently, make confident decisions and position themselves for continued growth. As a fully remote organization, we embrace technology, collaboration and a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Manager, Bookkeeping Services to play a key leadership role in overseeing the quality and delivery of our bookkeeping services, supporting a talented team of professionals and ensuring our clients continue to receive exceptional service. You'll work closely with our Partners and Operations Manager to oversee workflow, maintain quality standards, resolve complex accounting matters and introduce improvements that strengthen how we operate.

While you'll maintain a small portfolio of clients, your primary focus will be on leading the technical review process, mentoring the team, managing service delivery and ensuring accuracy, consistency and accountability across our bookkeeping operations. We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on when needed but also sees the bigger picture someone who can bring structure, confidence and sound judgment to a growing professional services environment.

- Identify training opportunities and support the technical onboarding and development of new team members.
- Lead technical discussions during weekly bookkeeping meetings and share insights that strengthen team capabilities.
- Participate in performance reviews, recognize high-performing employees and provide constructive guidance where improvement is needed.

Workflow & Operational Management

- Oversee client deadlines, team workloads and bookkeeping production using Karbon Workflow.
- Work closely with the Partners and Operations Manager to manage priorities, balance resources and anticipate potential bottlenecks.

- Manage a limited portfolio of clients while supporting the broader team's client service responsibilities.
- Oversee client onboarding and file transitions to ensure a smooth and professional experience.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, external accountants, government agencies, financial institutions and technology providers.
- Support the Partners in resolving client concerns and maintaining high standards of service.
- Lead by example in delivering clear, proactive and professional communication.

Technology, Systems & Continuous Improvement

- Champion the effective use of cloud-based accounting technology to improve accuracy, productivity and the client experience.
- Review and enhance bookkeeping procedures, standardized templates, checklists and internal documentation.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls.
- Recommend improvements to Karbon Workflow processes and task management.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new accounting technologies, applications and integrations.
- Work with leadership to continuously improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
