Job Title: Part-Time Mandarin-Speaking Concierge – Residential Building

We are seeking a professional, friendly, and customer-focused Mandarin-speaking Concierge to join our team at a residential property in Burnaby, BC.

We have openings for part-time weekend shifts, including morning and afternoon shifts. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required to effectively communicate with residents, guests, and visitors.

As a Concierge, you will serve as the first point of contact for residents and visitors, helping maintain a welcoming, safe, secure, and well-managed residential community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong customer service abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities professionally.

Previous experience in residential concierge services, strata properties, hospitality, or security is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet residents, guests, and visitors in a qualified and welcoming manner.
- Communicate effectively in Mandarin and English to assist residents with inquiries and requests.
- Monitor and control building access in accordance with established security procedures.
- Assist residents with general information, service requests, and building-related inquiries.
- Coordinate deliveries, packages, visitor access, and contractor entry.
- Monitor security cameras and report unusual or suspicious activity.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and other building records.
- Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and vendor access.
- Communicate effectively with residents, property management, and fellow team members.




- Enforce building policies and procedures while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Conduct routine walks and inspections throughout the eight-tower residential property.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents in accordance with established building procedures.

Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate clearly with residents in both languages.
- Previous experience in concierge services, customer service, hospitality, or security is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and qualified in challenging situations.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain electronic logs and records.
- Availability to work part-time weekend shifts, including mornings and afternoons.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to accommodate scheduling requirements.
