We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Mechanic Helper to join our team at a truck and trailer repair shop. The successful candidate will assist experienced mechanics with maintenance, inspections, and repairs of commercial trucks and trailers while gaining hands-on experience in heavy-duty mechanical work.
Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with truck and trailer repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
- Help inspect, remove, repair, and replace mechanical components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely.
- Assist with brake systems, suspension, tires, lights, and other truck and trailer components.
- Keep the shop, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and instructions.
Qualifications
- Previous mechanical or shop experience is an asset but not required.
- Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical systems is preferred.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and handle parts and equipment safely.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety.
