Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced On-Call Substitute Teacher to join our team at our private Middle and Senior School Campus in Stouffville, ON. The successful candidates will provide classroom coverage for absent teachers – often on short notice – delivering engaging lessons for students in grades 7-12 (ages 12-18) while maintaining a structured, safe, and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver high-quality lessons designed by subject teachers, effectively incorporating technology into all areas of the curriculum.
- Foster creativity, curiosity, and innovation by designing engaging learning experiences for students.
- Maintain explicit, professional communication with parents, staff and administration regarding student progress and classroom activities as required.
- Maintain safe, respectful, and structured classroom environments in alignment with school policies and guidelines.
- Participate in school events, campus activities, and assemblies beyond the classroom when needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education (OCT preferred).
- Demonstrated experience teaching or working with middle/senior school students (grades 7-12).




- Strong knowledge of child development, classroom management, and latest educational theories and practices.
- Hands-on experience with educational technology tools, online learning platforms, and digital classroom applications.
- Successful candidate must provide a current and satisfactory Vulnerable Sector (Police Record) Check prior to commencing employment.
