Rocky Eye Care is looking for a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Optical Dispenser / Optical Assistant to join our team! As part of The Eye Care Centre family, we have proudly served Central Alberta for over 80 years, providing exceptional eye care and building lasting relationships with our patients and community.

About the Role

As an Optical Dispenser, you will help patients find eyewear that suits their vision needs, lifestyle, budget, and personal style.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, has strong customer service skills, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

This is a part-time position, approximately four days per week, with the potential to transition into full-time employment.

Responsibilities

- Assist patients with frame selection and recommend appropriate lens options
- Educate patients on eyewear products, lens types, and proper eyewear care
- Take optical measurements and assist with fitting and dispensing eyeglasses
- Perform basic frame adjustments and eyewear repairs
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Answer patient inquiries in person and over the phone
- Assist with optical orders and maintain accurate patient records
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming optical dispensary




- Work collaboratively with the clinic team to ensure a positive patient experience

What We're Looking For

- Previous optical experience is an asset, but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable discussing products and assisting patients with purchasing decisions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and optical products
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, collaborative environment
