We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations using advanced diagnostic equipment and medical terminology
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, refractive errors, and other visual impairments
- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or treatments as appropriate
- Provide specialized care for pediatric and senior patients, tailoring approaches to meet their unique needs
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Assist in sales of eyewear products and accessories by providing expert recommendations
- Stay current with advancements in optometry practices and participate in ongoing career development
Skills
- Proven experience in optometry with a strong understanding of optical practices and patient care standards
- Experience working with pediatric and senior populations is highly desirable
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to eye health and diagnostics
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and engage patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently within a team while maintaining high standards of patient service
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and treatment planning
- Sales aptitude for recommending eyewear options that meet patient needs while enhancing practice growth
