Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring accurate order fulfillment and efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks.

Prior warehouse management system knowledge and mechanical aptitude are highly valued to support smooth shipping and receiving processes. Please note, this is a part time position, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 8am to 4pm. Additional shifts may be available during holidays.

Duties

- Select and prepare products for deliveries, ensuring accuracy in order picking.
- Pack and label product following established guidelines
- Review product and labels for quality
- Pack items securely for shipping, verifying product details against orders
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities, including inventory checks and documentation
- Organize food products in freezers and coolers, following a first in first out protocol
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency




- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and ensure timely dispatch of orders
- Perform heavy lifting as required, handling materials up to 25 kilos

Qualifications

- Prior experience in food warehouse distribution or shipping & receiving environments preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane, or clamp trucks is a plus
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and packing.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physical capability to stand, lift, load, unload, and move materials throughout the shift.
- Prior experience with order picker or similar equipment is desirable but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a agile warehouse environment where safety, efficiency, and accuracy are prioritized.
