Based in Edmonton, Alberta since 1979, Abe's Door Service Ltd. is a Canadian Residential, Commercial and Industrial door system specialist committed to offering innovative products and service that meet or exceed the industry's regulatory requirements.

What's the Role

- Safely and efficiently install or repair residential, commercial and industrial doors at client sites.
- Identify and effectively troubleshoot common problems associated with doors.
- Mentor and train Overhead Door Technician Assistants.
- Meet Health and Safety requirements, as per company, client and/or Provincial standards.

What You Bring

- Minimum one year experience in the overhead door industry.
- Knowledge of overhead doors, how they work, and how to troubleshoot door issues.
- Able to work overtime on a regular basis as well as join the on call rotation.
- Able to lift and hold heavy loads (35kgs/80lbs).
- Able to work at heights (from ladders and mobile elevated work platforms).
- Able and willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Able to work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and have consistent work attendance.




- Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset.
- Safety certificates are an asset but can be provided (CSTS, WHMIS, MEWP, Fall Protection).

What Else You Need to Know

- Operational and working hours are from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
- Providing a criminal record check, a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract is a condition of employment.
- Providing proof of eligibility to work in Canada is also required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $28.00-$45.00 per hour
