GradeUp Winnipeg is a K-12 tutoring service that matches Winnipeg families with caring, well-prepared tutors. Many Winnipeg families have children in French Immersion or Core French, and we are looking for tutors who can help them read, write and speak French with confidence.

About the role

You will teach students one-on-one, usually 1 hour at a time, once or twice a week, either in the student's home or online. We handle the matching, scheduling, invoicing and parent communication. You focus on teaching.

What you'll do

- Teach one-on-one French sessions in the student's home or online
- Help with reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, spelling and speaking, using the student's own class material
- Support French Immersion students in other subjects taught in French, such as Math or Science, if you are comfortable
- Make learning fun and age-appropriate, from early readers through high school
- After each session, log a short recap in our parent portal so families can see progress
- Arrive on time and communicate professionally with GradeUp

What we're looking for
- Fluent French, spoken and written. Education in French (for example French Immersion, Francophone school or a French-language degree) is a plus
- Experience tutoring, teaching,



coaching or working with children or teens
- Patience, warmth and clear communication
- Reliable transportation for in-home sessions, and/or a laptop with a camera and reliable internet for online sessions
- Available some weekday evenings (4 to 9 PM) and/or weekends
- A current Manitoba Child Abuse Registry Check (we will help you get one if you don't have one yet)
