Duties

Accurately enter and review pay related information in balances for a semi-monthly pay cycle

Analyze payroll entries for timely and accurate processing of employee records

Process payroll for a workforce with a mix of hourly, salaried and commissioned employees

Monitor and process employee pension and perks

Liaise with insurance providers to process the administration of disability and injury leaves

Provide assistance in application of established human resources policies and procedures

Participate in orientation of new employees,



in set up of forms, benefits, policy resources and provide group benefit information to employees on coverage provided and procedures for making changes

Maintain a relationship with managers and employees to ensure payroll processes are understood and communicated

Input journal entries for pay runs

Requirements

3 years of payroll processing experience

Knowledge of payroll procedures, policies and standards, practices of personnel and payroll/tax administration including applicable Federal, Provincial laws, regulations, and policies required

Experience using Payworks or ADP would be considered an asset

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Education in accounting or completion of the PCP designation would be considered an asset

Experience within an agriculture or equipment dealer would be considered an asset
