Midland Transport is currently seeking a P&D; Straight Truck Driver based out of our Moncton Terminal. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, great and positive attitude, and exceptional customer service skills.

Main Role:

The driver will be responsible for pickups and deliveries throughout the Greater Moncton area while maintaining company standards and managing time efficiently. Enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and exceptional customer service skills are essential for success in this role and for becoming a valued member of our team. In addition to operating a straight truck, the successful candidate will be required to assist with local pickups and deliveries and operate a tractor-trailer as required to support operational needs.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (0730-1730)

- Deliver freight to assigned customer locations, ensuring safe, accurate, and on-time delivery.
- Safely offload freight of varying weights and properly operate freight-handling equipment to prevent damage to cargo and property.




- Complete and maintain accurate daily pickup and delivery documentation.
- Provide professional, reliable, and customer-focused service at all times.
- Operate company equipment in compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, transportation regulations, and traffic laws.
- Safely move trailers between assigned locations, including performing yard shunting duties, while maintaining efficiency and operational standards.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, and monitor all aspects of vehicle operation to ensure safety and compliance.
- Promptly report any incidents, accidents, injuries, equipment defects, or damage in accordance with company procedures.
- Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years of safe tractor-trailer and straight truck driving experience in North America required.
- Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
- Familiarity with satellite systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle freight as required.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
