We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence in a respectful and caring manner.
Prior experience in senior care, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a supportive setting.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health conditions
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Assist with toileting and continence care as needed
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and report any changes in client condition promptly
Experience
- Assisted living experience or nursing home experience preferred
- Prior work with seniors or individuals with disabilities highly desirable
- Experience in dementia care or working with clients experiencing memory loss is a plus
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is advantageous
- Previous caregiving roles demonstrating compassion, patience, and professionalism are valued
- Experience with meal preparation, light cleaning, and home care tasks is beneficial
This position requires a caring attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while following established care plans. Candidates should be committed to providing respectful, person-centered support that enhances clients' quality of life. Pay: $17.92-$29.28 per hour
