We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. As a PSW, you will provide personalized care, support independence, and promote well-being in various settings including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide compassionate care tailored to individual needs, including companionship and emotional support
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed to promote health and well-being
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning client spaces to maintain a safe and hygienic setting
- Support clients with mobility exercises, transfers, and positioning to prevent discomfort or injury
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or providing home care is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and caregiving best practices
- Strong skills in meal preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment for clients
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and safety guidelines
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary
