Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients, offering support in a variety of settings including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role is vital in promoting comfort, safety, and dignity for those under your care, particularly seniors and individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety
- Support with activities of daily living such as dressing, toileting, and bathing
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being




- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
- Follow care plans and document care provided accurately and timely

Requirements

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is advantageous
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus
- Compassionate nature with excellent caregiving skills and patience
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Certification or training in caregiving or home health aide programs is beneficial but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing respectful, person-centered care

Pay: $26.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
