HACKNEY NINE is a growing, Vancouver-based jewellery & accessories brand bringing affordable luxury to everyday life.

With a growing network of retail stores and over 500 wholesale partners, we're building a distinctive Canadian brand with British design heritage and a simple philosophy: beautiful jewellery & accessories shouldn't have to cost a fortune.

We're looking for a creative, resourceful and highly motivated PR & Media Relations Associate to help us build relationships with journalists, editors, stylists and media outlets, and secure meaningful editorial coverage.

This is more than a part-time PR position. It's a career-building opportunity to take genuine ownership of a brand's PR and media relations function. You'll have the freedom to develop ideas, build your own network of media contacts, shape our public profile and see the direct impact of your work as HACKNEY NINE grows.

What You'll Do

- Research and develop relationships with fashion, lifestyle, business and local media.
- Identify editorial opportunities, including product features, gift guides, founder interviews and shopping segments.
- Write compelling, personalized media pitches and press releases.
- Proactively pitch HACKNEY NINE stories to journalists, editors and television producers.
- Coordinate product samples, media requests and interviews.
- Maintain an organized media contact database and outreach calendar.
- Track editorial coverage and report on results.
- Develop creative ideas to increase brand awareness across Vancouver and Canada.

Who We're Looking For You're a confident communicator, an excellent writer and someone who enjoys making connections.

Ideally, you have:

- Some experience in public relations, journalism, communications or media outreach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An interest in fashion, jewellery, lifestyle and consumer brands.




- Strong research, organizational and follow-up skills.
- The confidence to approach journalists and build professional relationships.
- The initiative to work independently and turn ideas into results.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ambition to build something you can genuinely call your own.

Experience with lifestyle publications, PR agencies or fashion brands would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in talented emerging individuals with the right attitude and abilities.

What We Offer

- 15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
- $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
