Control Security Services Corp. is seeking licensed, reliable security guards to provide premises security coverage at a commercial property in Edmonton. This is a short-term assignment running daily, 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, split across two 8-hour shifts, for a two-week period.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the premises on foot at regular intervals to deter unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism
- Control entry and exit points; verify identification and authorization of visitors, contractors, and tenants as applicable
- Maintain detailed, accurate written patrol and incident logs for each shift
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns to the on-duty supervisor
- Provide professional, courteous interaction with staff, and members of the public
- Complete a shift handover report/briefing for the incoming guard
Requirements
- Valid Alberta Security Guard Licence - mandatory
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Reliable transportation to and from the site for assigned shift times – Mandatory to have a car
- Robust communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain alert and stand/walk for extended periods
- Professional appearance and demeanor; CSSC-issued uniform must be worn on shift
- Prior security experience preferred
- Must be available for the full duration of the posting
