Job Summary The Préposée aux bénéficiaires plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings. This position involves supporting seniors and individuals with disabilities by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate is dedicated, empathetic, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.

Responsibilities

- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal service as needed
- Support residents with mobility and transfers to promote independence and safety
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident rooms and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to healthcare professionals




- Follow all safety procedures and infection control protocols to ensure a secure environment for residents and staff

Skills

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to administer medications accurately and follow healthcare instructions
- Compassionate caregiving skills with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of life
