About the Role

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Project Manager / PMO Consultant for a contract opportunity with a client in Toronto, ON. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned PMO transformation professional with extensive experience building, transforming, optimizing, and revitalizing Project Management Offices (PMOs) across multiple organizations.

The successful candidate will lead PMO assessments, design target operating models, establish governance frameworks, optimize portfolio and demand management processes, and deliver strategic roadmaps that improve project delivery maturity and organizational effectiveness.

Services to be Provided

- Lead PMO assessments and transformation initiatives across enterprise environments
- Establish PMO success criteria, stakeholder alignment, and baseline performance metrics
- Conduct current-state assessments to identify strengths, gaps, inefficiencies, and duplication
- Evaluate PMO maturity and develop improvement recommendations
- Design PMO organizational structures and delivery models
- Develop resource management and capacity planning frameworks
- Establish governance models, decision-making structures, and oversight processes
- Define and implement project controls, KPIs, financial management practices, and reporting standards
- Design demand management, intake, prioritization, and portfolio management processes




- Develop PMO Target Operating Models (TOM) aligned with organizational objectives
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Validate proposed PMO models through pilot initiatives and real project implementations
- Create implementation roadmaps and transformation backlogs
- Prepare executive-level presentations, recommendations, and business cases
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and advisory support to project and program teams

Expertise Required (Top 3 Required Skills)

1. 10+ years of PMO, Program Management, or Project Management leadership experience
2. Proven experience building, transforming, and revitalizing PMOs across multiple organizations
3. Strong expertise in PMO governance, portfolio management, operating models, and executive stakeholder engagement
