Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician specializing in CMM Programming to join our Winnipeg team. This role is vital in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision, supporting our mission of delivering reliable agricultural machinery.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate CMM and Romer Portable CMM Arm equipment for dimensional inspection of machined, fabricated, welded, and assembled components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T; requirements, CAD models, and product specifications.
- Develop, validate, and maintain inspection programs using PC-DMIS and PolyWorks software.
- Perform PPAP inspections and analyze dimensional measurement results.
- Prepare inspection reports, identify non-conformances, and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain measurement equipment calibration and inspection records in accordance with quality system requirements.
Qualifications
- Certified training and practical experience in portable CMM programming and operation, including probing and scanning using PolyWorks.
- Certified training and practical experience in CMM programming and operation using PC-DMIS.
- Solid knowledge of GD&T; and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems is preferred.
