Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated RCA/PSW (Resident Care Aide / Personal Support Worker) to provide exceptional care and support to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by delivering personalized assistance with daily activities, medication management, and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with special needs, demonstrating a solid commitment to compassionate caregiving and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment
- Help residents participate in recreational activities and social engagement
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns to supervising staff




- Follow care plans accurately and document care provided in compliance with facility policies
- Support residents with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety

Skills

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of senior care practices, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to administer medications accurately and responsibly
- Compassionate caregiving skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and organizing resident spaces
- Capable of meal preparation tailored to dietary needs of residents
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Valid certification or training in caregiving or personal support work is a plus
