About the PositionDetroit Axle is looking for an experienced Warehouse Receiving Lead to manage daily inbound shipments, receiving activities, inventory verification, and warehouse dock operations.

The successful candidate must have hands-on receiving experience, strong attention to detail, forklift operating qualifications, and the ability to lead employees in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily inbound receiving operations and assign tasks to receiving employees.
- Coordinate truck arrivals, unloading activities, dock assignments, and receiving priorities.
- Verify inbound shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
- Inspect received products for damaged packaging, incorrect quantities, missing items, and SKU discrepancies.
- Ensure inventory is properly scanned, labeled, and entered into Deposco or other warehouse management systems.
- Operate forklifts and other authorized material-handling equipment to support receiving and put-away operations.
- Coordinate inventory staging, storage, and put-away procedures.
- Investigate receiving discrepancies, duplicate receipts, shortages, and overages.
- Work closely with Inventory Control, Purchasing,



and Logistics to resolve shipment and inventory issues.
- Train receiving employees on safe unloading, product handling, scanning, and inventory procedures.
- Monitor receiving productivity, dock congestion, and put-away delays.
- Maintain accurate receiving reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario workplace safety regulations.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse receiving or distribution operations.
- At least 1 year of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.
- Valid forklift operator certificate with hands-on operating experience.
- Experience with inbound shipments, unloading, receiving inspections, and inventory verification.
- Knowledge of purchase orders, packing slips, SKUs, and inventory documentation.
- Experience with WMS platforms and handheld RF scanners.
- Strong understanding of warehouse receiving procedures and inventory accuracy.
- Ability to supervise employees and manage multiple inbound shipments.
- Robust communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Deposco WMS.
- Automotive parts distribution experience.
- Experience coordinating carrier appointments and dock operations.
- Knowledge of cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
