Duties

- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children, adolescents, and their families to identify needs and develop personalized intervention strategies
- Provide individual, group, or family counselling sessions focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and resilience building
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators, and social workers to coordinate holistic patient care
- Maintain detailed documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and case notes in accordance with clinical standards and confidentiality protocols
- Engage in case management activities such as resource referral, follow-up support, and advocacy for patients’ needs




- Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes to inform ongoing treatment approaches and contribute to research initiatives
- Stay current with developments in pediatric mental health, research methodologies, and best practices in clinical counselling

Skills

- Proven experience working with children and adolescents in clinical or educational settings
- Robust understanding of medical terminology and hospital procedures related to pediatric care
- Knowledge of special education needs and how they intersect with mental health interventions
- Excellent case management skills with the ability to handle multiple clients effectively
- Ability to collect, interpret, and utilize data for continuous improvement of patient care
- Familiarity with research methods relevant to pediatric psychology or counselling practices
