Jumping Pebbles Daycare is a brand-new childcare centre opening in downtown Toronto, providing high-quality care and early learning for children from 15 months to preschool age. We’re looking for caring, energetic Registered Early Childhood Educators who want to be part of something current.

As one of our first team members, you’ll help create the classroom environment, establish daily routines, build relationships with families, and contribute to the culture of Jumping Pebbles from day one.

What you’ll do

- Provide warm, responsive, and compassionate care to children
- Create engaging, age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences
- Support children’s physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive development
- Actively engage with children through play, exploration, and everyday learning opportunities
- Maintain the safety and active supervision of children at all times
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children and their families
- Communicate with families about their child’s daily experiences, interests, and development
- Observe children’s learning and development and complete required documentation
- Support daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, dressing, handwashing, transitions, and rest
- Support children with individual developmental, behavioural, or additional needs in collaboration with the classroom team
- Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and welcoming classroom
- Follow proper food handling, allergy, health, and safety procedures
- Follow centre policies, procedures,



and all applicable Ontario childcare licensing requirements
- Recognize and fulfill the professional responsibility to report suspected child abuse or neglect as required by law
- Participate in staff meetings, training, curriculum planning, and professional development
- Work collaboratively with educators, ECAs, and the Centre Supervisor
- Contribute ideas and support the ongoing development of Jumping Pebbles
- Perform other duties related to the role as assigned by the Centre Supervisor

We’re looking for

- ECE diploma and RECE registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Experience in a licensed childcare or early learning environment is an asset
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Caring, patient, dependable, and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported
- Current First Aid / CPR certification as required
- Vulnerable Sector Check and other required documentation
