WAGE RATE: $37.071 - $38.157

Reporting to the Manager, Lions Head Site, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide patient care within Professional scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS Required

- Ontario College of Nurses registration and/or equivalent
- Successful completion of Asepsis Course
- Successful completion of Medication Course
- Recent medical nursing experience
- Complete unit specific certification
- Leadership, problem-solving and decision making skills
- Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to continuing education and career development
- Participation in staff meetings and unit specific projects




- Ability and willingness to ensure patient safety e.g. "following routine practices and practicing diligent hand washing, completing patient risk assessments, reporting adverse events"
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
