Part-Time Restaurant Server — Diba Persian Restaurant

Diba Persian Restaurant in Vancouver’s West End is looking for an experienced, friendly, and dependable part-time server to join our team. We’re looking for someone who enjoys looking after guests, takes pride in their work, and stays organized during busy service.

Strong English communication skills are required. Candidates who also speak Farsi/Persian are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests, manage seating, and provide attentive service from arrival to payment.
- Take orders accurately, explain menu items, and communicate dietary requests clearly to the kitchen.
- Recommend dishes and drinks based on guests’ preferences.
- Serve food and beverages, including preparing basic cocktails and other drinks following our recipes.
- Process orders and payments using our Clover POS system.
- Handle phone inquiries, reservations, takeout orders, and delivery pickups.
- Keep tables, service areas, and the dining room clean and organized.
- Complete opening and closing duties thoroughly and follow restaurant standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen and take initiative when something needs attention.

What We’re Looking For




- Previous serving experience in a sit-down restaurant is required.
- Strong English communication skills; Farsi/Persian is a strong asset.
- Confidence managing multiple tables and working independently in a small team.
- Reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, and a warm, professional attitude.
- Consistent availability, including evening and weekend shifts.
- Familiarity with POS systems; Clover experience is an asset.
- Basic cocktail preparation and wine service experience are assets.
- Valid Serving It Right certification before starting.
- An interest in a long-term, part time position.
