Duties
- Assist customers in selecting products, providing knowledgeable advice on horticultural items and outdoor supplies
- Maintain an organized and attractive sales floor, ensuring products are properly displayed and stocked
- Engage with customers via phone communication to answer inquiries, take orders, and provide product information
- Support outdoor work activities such as plant care, landscaping tasks, or assisting with outdoor displays as needed
- Process transactions accurately at the point of sale and handle cash or electronic payments securely
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service
- Contribute to inventory management by tracking stock levels and assisting with restocking efforts
Skills
- Prior outdoor work experience, particularly related to horticulture or gardening
- Strong communication skills for effective phone interactions and customer engagement
- Excellent organizational skills to manage displays, stock levels, and sales documentation
- Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions
- Retail sales experience is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential
