We are seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with product merchandising, and supporting the overall store operations. Duties
- Assist customers in selecting products and provide knowledgeable advice on plant identification and horticultural topics.
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques.
- Support outdoor work activities, including plant care, landscaping, and general garden maintenance.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handle transactions accurately, and process payments securely.
- Ensure the store setting is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers.
- Stock shelves and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Engage with customers to answer questions about products,
particularly related to horticulture and outdoor gardening.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and achieve sales goals.
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience is preferred, especially in gardening or landscaping environments.
- Demonstrated ability in retail sales with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, and gardening practices is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills to manage merchandising displays and inventory effectively.
- Experience operating cash registers or point-of-sale systems is required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a professional demeanor.
