Overview

We are seeking a motivated and personable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers, managing sales transactions, and providing excellent service to enhance the shopping experience. The position involves engaging with customers both indoors and outdoors, especially when supporting our horticulture and outdoor product sections.

The ideal candidate will have outdoor work experience, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities via phone. This is a paid position that offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about retail sales and horticulture.

Duties

- Assist customers in selecting products, providing knowledgeable advice on horticultural items and outdoor goods
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
- Maintain organized displays and stock levels to ensure a welcoming shopping environment
- Engage with customers through phone communication to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, or provide product information
- Support outdoor work activities related to horticulture, including plant care, garden setup, or outdoor product demonstrations




- Ensure safety protocols are followed during outdoor tasks and maintain cleanliness in all areas
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall store performance

Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience is preferred, especially related to horticulture or gardening
- Robust organizational skills to manage inventory, displays, and customer flow effectively
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers in person and over the phone
- Passion for retail sales with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed
- Basic knowledge of horticultural products or willingness to learn about plant care and gardening supplies
