Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection, offering expert advice on gardening tools, plants, landscape maintenance supplies, and merchandise.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and handle cashing out with precision.
- Maintain attractive product displays and ensure merchandise is well-stocked, organized, and appealing to customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries in multiple languages (multilingual skills are a plus), resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support landscape maintenance efforts within the store or garden center, including plant care and general horticultural tasks.
- Manage cash handling procedures responsibly while maintaining organizational skills to keep the sales area tidy and inventory accurate.
- Stay informed about e-commerce platforms to assist customers with online orders or product information when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles; familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, landscaping, or related fields; experience in landscape maintenance is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for engaging diverse customers.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and confidently manage cash handling procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain store presentation and inventory records effectively.
- Enthusiasm for gardening and outdoor environments with a willingness to learn about new products and industry trends.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
