Our location is in the main village, right at the base of both Whistler and Backcomb mountains. We additionally have a branded Rip Curl store next to our original McCoo's location. We have a great selection of gear for you and all our guests.
Duties:
· Effective Supervision – establishing and maintaining good relationships with all staff
· Customer Service – a consistent focus on understanding and delivering on customers’ needs
· Merchandising – ensuring the store is visually appealing, clean and set up to be representative of a world class retail store
· Purchasing Assistance – working with the GM and supplier reps to effectively purchase product to set budgets
· Training – remain up to date industry trends and provide ongoing training in conjunction with industry reps
· Professionalism – being reliable, honest, and dependable consistently
· Performance - maintain high levels of both sales and customer service performance while additionally seeking new ways to improve overall performance
· Leadership – help, coach and inspire other staff to achieve at their highest capacity
Requirements:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
· Computer proficiency, including the ability to work with MS Office Excel spreadsheets
· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exceptional customer service
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
· Manage time off requests around peaks seasons (Dec 1 to March 31 and July 1 to August 31)
Physical Requirements:
· Lifting and carrying boxes up to 50lbs
· Using step ladders
· The ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
· Remain organized and on time
· Work 8hr shifts ranging between 8am and 10pm during peak periods
· Maintain a positive attitude and consistent energy level during work periods
