With 15 years in the window covering industry, Recent Art Drapery & Blinds provides custom window coverings to residential and commercial clients across the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in zebra blinds, roller shades, drapery, motorized window coverings and custom solutions, and our own team handles every step from consultation and measurement to installation.
As our business grows, we are looking for a responsible, hard-working and detail-oriented bilingual (English and Cantonese) person to join our showroom team.
Why Cantonese?
Many of our customers prefer to be served in Cantonese. In this role you will be their main point of contact, while order entry and much of our day-to-day communication are in English.
What You'll Do
- Welcome walk-in customers in English or Cantonese and help them choose the right window coverings for their needs and budget
- Prepare quotations and enter customer orders accurately into our computer system (in English)
- Communicate with customers in English or Cantonese by phone, email and text, and follow up on inquiries and quotes
- Book measurement and installation appointments and keep customers updated on their orders
What We're Looking For
- Fluent spoken Cantonese
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Order entry and much of our communication are in English
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). All orders are entered by computer
- Responsible, hard-working, careful and detail-oriented. Every custom order depends on accurate details
- Friendly, reliable and a good team player
- Previous experience is a plus. We provide full product training
