Job Posting: School-Age Coordinator

Cygnets Cooperative Preschool is seeking a dedicated and experienced School-Age

Coordinator to join our team. This role will report to the Program Supervisor and is responsible for overseeing all school-age programs, including but not limited to: before/after school care,

summer camps, PA day, and March Break programs. You will lead a team of educators, ensure compliance with provincial regulations, and deliver high-quality, inclusive programs that meet the needs of children, families, and the community.

What You’ll Do

● Lead all school-age programs, ensuring safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for children.

● Manage staff scheduling and supervision fostering a positive team culture.

● Oversee enrolment and maintain waitlists for all school-age programs.

● Coordinate with external professionals (TVCC, PT, OT, Speech, Resource Consultant) to support children’s individualized plans.

● Be a consistent, safe presence for children.

● Address program needs including facility, equipment, supplies, and site-specific challenges.

● Support family engagement through meetings, orientations, and program events.

● Collaborate with the Preschool Supervisor on centre-wide initiatives, budgeting,

compliance, and program evaluation.

● Contribute to long-term visioning, community partnerships, and the growth and sustainability of Cygnets school age programs.





What We’re Looking For

● Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), CYW, or B.Ed.

● 3–5 years’ experience in a licensed child care centre or school.

● Strong knowledge of CCEYA, HDLH?, and school-age programming.

● Experience mentoring and supporting educators, students, and volunteers.

● CPR/First Aid Level C certification and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

● Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

● Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in programming and staffing.

Preferred

● Familiarity with digital tools for communication, scheduling, and documentation.
