The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The successful candidate will oversee month-end processes, account reconciliations, financial analysis, grant and fund reporting, and support audit and budgeting activities. Financial

Reporting &

• Accounting Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Fund &

• Grant Accounting Assist with fund accounting activities and reporting requirements. Support grant budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes. Audit &

• Compliance Coordinate the annual audit process and prepare supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. Budgeting &

• Financial Analysis Provide financial analysis and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies. Participate in system implementations and process improvement initiatives. Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required. 5 years of progressive accounting experience. ~ Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.



~ Experience preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and working papers. ~ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. ~ Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
