Job Title: Senior AWS Engineer/Developer with Genesys

Location: Canada (REMOTE)

Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a strong AWS Engineer / Developer with hands-on Genesys experience to support an ongoing contact-center-related project. The role is predominantly focused on AWS engineering/development (approximately 75%), complemented by Genesys expertise (approximately 25%).

Required Skillsets

- Strong hands-on AWS development and engineering experience, including building, integrating, troubleshooting, and supporting cloud-based applications.
- Experience with AWS services relevant to application and integration workloads. For sourcing, please prioritize candidates showing AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, or similar AWS services on their resumes.
- Strong understanding of serverless and event-driven architectures, REST APIs, application integrations, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Development experience using Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or comparable programming languages within AWS environments.
- Hands-on experience with Genesys, preferably Genesys Cloud CX, particularly around platform integrations, APIs, contact-center applications, or associated services.
- Experience integrating AWS-hosted services/applications with Genesys or contact-center platforms.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication,



web services, and application-to-application integration.
- Ability to quickly understand an existing technical environment, troubleshoot issues, and take ownership of remaining development/support activities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to provide partial-day overlap with the project team.

Preferred Skillsets

- AWS certification such as AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud credentials.
- Prior experience with Genesys Cloud CX APIs, SDKs, integrations, Architect, routing, or event-driven integrations.
- Experience with Amazon Connect or other AWS contact-center technologies would be beneficial for candidates working across AWS and Genesys ecosystems.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, infrastructure-as-code, Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of AWS security, IAM roles/policies, observability, CloudWatch monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- Contact center/CCaaS domain knowledge, particularly voice, IVR, routing, digital interactions, or integration patterns.
- Experience joining an in-flight project or short-term backfill assignment and becoming productive quickly.
