Senior Full Stack Software Developer

Location: Montreal, QC

Work week: 35 hours

Compensation: $69 CAD/hour

Work arrangement: Onsite for the first 30 days, then 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

We’re seeking a senior, hands-on software developer to design, build, and maintain business applications. You’ll work across application development and production support, contribute to technical design, and help deliver reliable, secure software from development through deployment.

What you’ll do

- Design, develop, debug, and maintain application features and software modules.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable APIs and integrations between products.
- Review business and technical requirements, identify risks, and participate in design discussions.
- Guide other developers, review technical work, and contribute to coding practices and development processes.
- Help estimate work and coordinate the assignment and resolution of defects.
- Contribute to test-case documentation and support quality assurance.
- Help deploy software and troubleshoot issues in production.
- Use approved AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, reviews, troubleshooting, and documentation while following security and governance standards.

What you’ll bring

- At least 12 years of professional software development experience.




- Professional fluency in English and French.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience with Java enterprise technologies, from J2EE/Java EE through Jakarta EE.
- Experience with Spring, JDBC, EJB, JMS, Hibernate/JPA, and related Java technologies.
- Full-stack web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing REST and SOAP services; Kafka event experience is relevant.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and technical-writing skills.
- A team-oriented approach and the confidence to take initiative and guide technical work.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools in a secure, responsible way.

Additional experience that’s valuable

- Kubernetes and Azure cloud hosting.
- Telecom, satellite, mobile voice and data connectivity, or aviation systems.
- SwiftBroadband (SBB), BGAN, or GX.
- Spring MVC, Jersey, Struts, Apache POI, jQuery, and DataTables.
- WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, Perl, Python, ANT, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
- A professional programming certification.
