Canada Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead data engineering, analytics, and data governance initiatives within a capital markets environment. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and Agile delivery experience, along with hands-on project exposure to Databricks and Microsoft Azure. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, business analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver scalable data solutions supporting trading, risk management, regulatory reporting, and investment operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end delivery of data platform projects, from planning and requirements gathering through implementation, deployment, and post-production support.
• Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and business analysts to translate business requirements into prioritized backlogs and actionable delivery plans.
• Drive data governance initiatives involving policies, processes, technology solutions, and governance automation.
• Coordinate with data engineers, solution architects, analysts, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and delivery reports to senior leadership.
• Identify and remove delivery blockers while promoting continuous improvement and Agile best practices.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives, technical requirements, data quality standards,



and project deliverables.
• Support cloud data migration initiatives from legacy on-premises platforms, where required. Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years leading data engineering, data platform, or analytics projects.
• Proven experience managing projects involving Databricks and Microsoft Azure cloud data services.
• Demonstrated experience working as a Scrum Master within Agile delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, including trading, risk management, regulatory reporting, or investment operations.
• Familiarity with lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, ETL/ELT pipelines, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience managing data governance projects, including governance processes, policies, technology implementation, or automation.
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project and Agile management tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
• PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Qualified Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe certification.
• Experience leading cloud data migration projects from legacy on-premises data platforms.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale data platforms and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Familiarity with data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and enterprise data governance frameworks. Key Skills
