The Prospect We’re seeking Project Geologists for rotational, field-based roles supporting active diamond drilling programs. Core logging and day-to-day geological support are central to the role, with opportunities to contribute to interpretation, modelling and other exploration work based on your experience and strengths. What you will do
• Log diamond drill core, documenting lithology, alteration, mineralization, veining and structure.
• Support drilling operations, including drillhole layouts, collar checks, progress tracking, surveys and hole-completion workflows.
• Pre-scout and field-validate proposed drill pads and access trails, identify constraints and flag planned drill locations.
• Coordinate core sampling, sample tracking and submissions in accordance with QA/QC procedures.
• Maintain accurate geological, drillhole and sampling records; review data for quality and completeness.
• Prepare daily drill and logging reports, weekly exploration updates and drillhole summaries.
• Work with field teams and drilling contractors to support safe, efficient site activities and flag operational issues.
• Contribute to geological interpretation, plans, sections, 3D models and exploration targeting as appropriate.
• Support other field activities, including mapping,



prospecting, sampling and geophysical ground truthing as required.
• Perform other related work as required; and such other duties and services that would be reasonably expected to be performed by a person employed by a public mineral exploration and development company in a similar position to that of the employee. What You Bring
• Self-starter, continuous learner, and a passion for innovation in geoscience related to mineral exploration
• Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
• Typically 2–5 years of mineral exploration experience; applicants with other experience levels are welcome.
• Work safely and contribute to safe practices of the First Mining Gold team
• Hands-on diamond drill core logging experience and familiarity with sampling, QA/QC and geological data workflows.
• Strong communication, organization and attention to detail; able to work independently and collaboratively
• Valid driver’s licence, eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to work rotationally at remote sites. Assets: GIT/P.
Geo. eligibility; Archean gold exploration; oriented core logging; DH Logger, ArcGIS Pro or Leapfrog; ATV/UTV/snowmobile experience; French for Quebec-based work. Working in the Field
• These are rotational, field-based positions in remote exploration settings. Work may involve core boxes and samples, variable weather and terrain,
