PS Technologies Inc. (PSTI) has been consulting in high voltage engineering since 2001 and has been involved in many key projects in Alberta, Canada. Currently, there is a vacancy for a position of a Protection and Control Engineer in the Calgary Office. The position may offer an opportunity for a candidate to develop into a career of a senior consultant for power utility and renewable energy industry.

Qualifications:
* Familiar with HV and MV power transmission and distribution system.
* Profound understanding about building and operating the electric power system.
* Bachelor’s or higher degree preferred.
* Must be able to work alone or with the minimum supervision.
* Work with senior engineers on developing AC Control Single Line Diagram and providing P&C; solutions.
* Protection and control wiring design with DC logic, schematic, wiring, and panel layout diagrams, cable schedule, construction notes, bill of material, AC 3-phase diagrams for VT and CT circuitry, DC battery sizing, station DC and AC load study,



voltage dropping, CT and CT ratio selection
* Other common study skills as valuable assets: ASPEN Oneliner, CAPE, CDEGS, ETAP, SKM, motor starting analysis, arc flash hazard analysis, insulation coordination, and equipment specification, EMTP type of studies using PSCAD or similar, power system interconnection studies in terms of load flow, short circuit, voltage stability
* Must have great attention to details, project management skills or be able to manage the relationship with the client. Compensation:
