Role Description The Frigoriste is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial and commercial refrigeration systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled inspections, conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, and replacing or adjusting components to ensure optimal performance. The role involves working with electrical and mechanical elements of refrigeration equipment, verifying system safety and efficiency, and documenting work performed according to company and regulatory standards.



The Frigoriste collaborates with engineering and service teams, communicates clearly with customers and colleagues, and follows all health and safety procedures while working in various industrial and recreational environments. Qualifications
• Robust skills in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair of refrigeration or HVAC systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues, with solid Troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of Electricity related to refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including safe work practices.
• Experience with HVAC systems, controls, and related mechanical components.
• Relevant technical diploma or apprenticeship in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
• Valid refrigeration or HVAC trade certification (or eligibility to obtain), and any required provincial licensing.
• Understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and proper handling of refrigerants.
• Capacity to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform on-site work, including standing, lifting, and working in varied temperatures.
