Door Doctor located in Brampton is currently looking for a Service Apprentice, Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning a skilled trade.

You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial overhead doors, loading dock equipment, and access systems at customer locations throughout the GTA.

No direct industry experience is required. We are willing to train individuals who are mechanically inclined, dependable, eager to learn, and take pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

- Assist experienced technicians with service calls, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Learn how to troubleshoot commercial overhead doors, dock levelers, dock restraints, and other loading dock equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks under supervision.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Travel to customer locations throughout the GTA.
- Complete service documentation and learn company procedures.
- Follow all health and safety requirements at customer sites.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude while representing the company in the field.
- Participate in ongoing training and skills development.

What We're Looking For:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning a hands-on trade.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools.

- Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working in industrial, warehouse, or construction environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working on your feet throughout the day.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to working safely and following procedures.

Considered an Asset:

- Experience in construction, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, warehousing, or manufacturing.
- Welding experience.
- Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Experience operating forklifts, lifts, or other equipment.
- Trade school education or related technical training.
