Roots 2 Rocks Property Care is hiring dependable Commercial Snow Shovellers for the 2026–2027 winter season.

Our crews service commercial properties throughout Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview and surrounding areas. This is physically demanding outdoor work involving sidewalks, entrances, ramps and stairways, including properties with multiple buildings and flights of stairs.

We need reliable people who work well with a crew, maintain a steady pace and stay committed until their assigned route is complete. Previous snow-removal or outdoor labour experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Schedule and Availability

This is a weather-dependent, on-call position. Work may occur during days, nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Hours vary with snowfall, storm duration and operational needs. A minimum number of weekly hours cannot be guaranteed.

Attendance during confirmed call-outs is essential. Employees must respond to company communications, arrive at the required time and be prepared to complete their assigned route. Other commitments must not repeatedly prevent attendance.

Responsibilities

- Shovel sidewalks, entrances, ramps and stairs.
- Operate walk-behind snowblowers and assigned tools.
- Remove packed snow and ice and apply de-icing products.




- Re-clear priority areas during ongoing storms.
- Follow route instructions and approved snow-placement plans.
- Protect customer properties and report hazards or equipment concerns.
- Follow safety procedures and communicate with your Crew Leader.

Requirements

- Dependable transportation to the designated reporting location.
- A reliable phone and consistent communication during scheduled availability.
- Ability to perform repetitive shovelling, pushing, lifting and stair climbing, including handling materials up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Readiness to work outdoors in difficult winter conditions.
- Reliable attendance, teamwork and willingness to complete orientation and training.

A valid driver’s licence is an asset but is not required for every position. New employees complete a probationary period covering attendance, safety, communication and work performance.
