The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Spooling Bench / Skid Fitters to join our Calgary manufacturing facility. In this role, you will support the fabrication and assembly of natural gas compression equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Available Shifts

- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Night Shift: 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM

Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: Technical Skills & Fabrication Experience

- Knowledge of quality requirements and applicable ASME and API standards.
- Ability to safely and correctly use hand tools and applicable shop machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols.
- Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to calculate angles and determine component layouts.
- Ability to select appropriate welding equipment and methods based on job requirements.
- Understanding of manufacturing sequences and processes in a spooling fabrication shop.
- Proficiency in various welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, MIG, and TIG, as applicable.
- Experience using electrical and manual tools, including saws, squares, calipers, and grinders.
- Professional certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) is preferred.

Safety & Equipment Operation

- Must be trained to safely operate an overhead crane.




- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including face shields and gloves, and follow established safety standards.
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment, moving components, and other shop activities.

Education & Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years of welding and/or bench fitting experience preferred, or a journeyperson certificate.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods, including working in confined or tight spaces around moving equipment and components.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
