Red Crow Community College invites applications for the Student Advisor position at the Main Campus, Standoff, AB.

General

Work effectively within the Registrar and Student Services Department. Work with prospective, current and past students with course registration, application processes and funding. Have a working knowledge of Adult Upgrading course sequencing.

Understand post-secondary program requirements and academic and career advising, ensuring students are enrolled in appropriate courses. Able to navigate funding platforms and submit required information to funders. Serve as a liaison between students, funding agencies, community agencies and other academic institutions.

Providing regular updates to their supervisor.

Qualifications

▪ College Diploma in a relevant discipline required.

▪ A minimum of 1 – 2 years of academic support in a post-secondary educational setting preferred.





▪ Knowledge of course sequencing, student placement and career counselling required.

▪ Experience in a First Nations or adult education setting considered an asset.

▪ Knowledge of Blackfoot Language and culture required.
