We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tower Crane Operator / Rigger Swamper to join our construction team. This role involves operating tower cranes safely and efficiently, assisting with rigging tasks, and supporting the overall crane operations on-site. The ideal candidate will possess construction experience, mechanical knowledge, and solid communication skills to ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities
- Operate tower cranes to lift and move heavy materials accurately across construction sites
- Assist with rigging operations, including setting up and securing loads for safe lifting
- Support crane operators by acting as a swamper, providing guidance and communication during lifts
- Perform routine inspections of crane equipment and rigging gear to ensure safety standards are met
- Coordinate with ground crew and other team members using effective communication skills
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the crane site
- Assist with mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Prior construction experience, especially with crane operation or rigging preferred
- Knowledge of crane operation, rigging techniques, and mechanical systems
- Ability to operate forklifts, boom trucks, or similar equipment is a plus
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are advantageous for effective communication on diverse teams
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure safety during lifts
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid certifications related to crane operation or rigging are preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adhere to safety standards at all times
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 60.0 per week
