Overview

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Tutors to join our team in Calgary, Chestermere, Cochrane, and Langdon. This role involves providing academic support to students across various subjects, helping them achieve their educational goals. Ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children.

Tutors will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to reach their full potential. Preference to those with a teaching certification or pursuing an education degree. We are a small company, but growing quickly.

You must living in one of the areas mentioned above and be willing to travel to in person sessions. Although online sessions do occur, we are looking for tutors who are willing to do in person as well as the technological ability to meet students online. We are short of French immersion Elementary tutors who can help students in math, science, and social studies, as well as high school math and science.

The rate of pay is dependent on whether you have your teaching certification or not. Our university professors and teachers receive $35 an hour and the subjects experts and university students receive $30 an hour in compensation. Sessions with more than 1 student is an additional $5 an hour.





Responsibilities

- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s needs and learning style
- Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding complex concepts
- Develop engaging lesson plans and educational activities to enhance learning outcomes
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Maintain a positive and encouraging attitude to motivate students
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different age groups and skill levels
- Collaborate with parents and educators to support student success

Skills

- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching across various subjects
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts and engage students
- Experience working with children or in classroom settings is highly desirable
- Ability to create a supportive and motivating learning setting
- Organizational skills to plan lessons and track student progress
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education
- A reliable vehicle or transportation is required.
- A vulnerable record check is required.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
