Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating vacuum trucks and various heavy equipment to perform environmental and construction-related tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy machinery, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in demanding environments.

The Vacuum Truck

Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects involving waste removal, excavation, and site preparation.

Duties

- Operate vacuum trucks to perform waste removal, hydro excavation, and other related services with precision and safety.
- Manage and operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and pavers as needed for site preparation and project support.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including handling hoses, pipes, and other materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations during operations to prevent accidents or spills.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards.




- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Operate additional machinery such as Caterpillar equipment and horizontal drills when required for specific project tasks.

Experience

- Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, graders, loaders, backhoes, and pavers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting skills are preferred.
- Experience with commercial driving and operating vacuum trucks is essential.
- Construction industry background or related field experience will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment brands like Caterpillar is a plus.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments while adhering to safety standards is required.
