Rice Lake Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our growing team! We are a busy small animal practice committed to providing excellent veterinary medicine and compassionate care. Our team works hard to accommodate clients and patients who need to be seen, while delivering high-quality care in a team-oriented environment.

About You

You are someone who

- Has previous experience working in a veterinary clinic (required).
- Has experience using Avimark (an asset but not required).
- Enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets.
- Is compassionate, organized, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
- Works well independently while also being a supportive team member.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Maintains a positive attitude and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities As part of our team, you may:

- Welcome clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client communications when needed to help support front staff.
- Process payments and maintain accurate medical records.
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized hospital.
- Restrain patients safely and compassionately.
- Assist with laboratory samples, pharmacy duties, and other daily hospital tasks.
- Support the team in providing an exceptional client and patient experience.

Qualifications





- Previous veterinary clinic experience is required.
- Experience with AVImark practice management software considering an asset.
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledgable with patient care and handling.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a quick-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for animal care and client service.

Pay: $18.00-$20.50 per hour
